How to Determine Your Skin Type

Sep 13, 2021

There are many different skin types (oily, dry, sensitive, combination and normal), secondly, your skin can be divided into two different categories, and finally, there are external factors that can affect your complexion, such as weather, pollution, etc.

Normal Skin

Normal skin is usually balanced (read: not too oily, not too dry) throughout the day, although it can still show occasional signs of oily or dry skin.

Oily Skin

What's the easiest way to spot oily skin tone? Shiny skin. Because the sebaceous glands in oily skin types are more active, skin may be more prone to breakouts and blemishes.

Dry Skin

Dry skin may flaky. Dry skin may also appear dull and occasionally itchy, according to the International Academy of Dermatology.

Combination Skin

Combination skin is characterized by oil in the T-zone (nose, eyebrows and chin) and dry surrounding skin.

Sensitive Skin

If your skin is sensitive, you may often experience irritation or redness from skin care ingredients such as acids, retinols, essential oils and even perfumes.
