Mango butter, or topical creams made with mango seed oil, is becoming a popular skin supplement. It softens skin, protects against sun damage, removes stretch marks and more.
Mangoes are rich in fiber, vitamins (C, B6, A, E, etc.) and minerals. They're also a good source of folate, potassium, calcium, and beta-carotene. Many of the vitamins found in mango have the ability to improve skin, so it makes sense to mix them into butter.
In fact, because of its fatty acid content (rich in oleic, stearic and linoleic acid), mango butter is a highly touted alternative to cocoa butter in beauty products, which has long been a skin-softening favorite.
As a topical cream, it can deliver benefits such as softer skin and can provide UV protection. Mangoes contain a variety of vitamins known to be good for skin and may be especially good for moisturizing dry skin.
