1.Not Showering Immediately After Exercise
After exercise, always take a shower and rinse off within ten minutes. When you break out, it's usually because you waited too long to shower after exercising.
2.Friction From Sports Equipment
It's so common for athletes to get acne from their equipment that there's actually a name for it: acne mechanic. Anything that rubs -- from backpacks to synthetic uniforms -- and leaves sweat and heat on the skin can cause irritation. To prevent flares, try to place a clean pad between the device and skin to limit friction and stick to loose-fitting clothing.
3.Not Washing Clothes After Sweating
Sweat, dirt and other bacteria can stick to clothes if they are not washed after exercise. Make it a habit to throw dirty clothes straight into the washing machine and carry a change of clothes with you to exercise, especially if you sweat a lot. Wearing sweaty clothes for long periods of time can lead to breakouts. Remove tracksuits or anything sweaty as soon as possible. The faster sweat evaporates, the less likely you are to develop a lump.
